Julius Caesar

There is history everywhere here in the city of the Caesars.

The Coliseum reminds us of chariots and gladiators. Monuments like Trajan’s Column, wrapped with a scroll carved in stone, boosted imperial egos.  Statues show how emperors were worshipped as gods on earth.  And the Pantheon, with its breathtaking skylight, inspired future generations to build even greater domes of their own.
