Beautiful Northern Ireland

The terms Ulster, Northern Ireland, “the six counties,” and “the North” are used interchangeably in Ireland for this small, beautiful, but, unfortunately, historically troubled land.

For many years, visitors to Ireland avoided the North, and, in fact, the vast majority of Irish people have never crossed the border of the Republic of Ireland into Ulster, and that’s a pity.

Belfast is a colorful, vibrant city, and the surrounding countryside ~ the famous glens of Antrim ~ is of breathtaking beauty.
