Glacier Territory

At the end of Eyjafjörður – dwarfed by granite mountains – is Northern Iceland’s largest town – Akureyri.

You’ll find all Icelandic species at the Akureyri’s Botanical Gardens – Lystigarður
Akureyrar.   But that’s not all.  The people of Akureyri have extreme civic pride in their garden. They may be all the way up north, but their flowers are from around the world – New Zealand, Spain, and Tanzania – and they all manage to grow here – close to the Arctic Circle!
